You have the unique chance to participate in an international teaching-led research workshop on design and performance. No prior knowledge of design is required, just a willingness to think on your feet, roll up your sleeves, and design objects, services and interfaces with other students and professors. The over-arching theme for the workshop–we like challenges!–is the design of living systems for migrating populations.

In this intensive week-long course, students from different disciplines, cultures, and countries are brought together to help resolve the challenges linked to the creation of living systems for migrating populations. With Paris serving as the setting for this hands-on environment, you will be ideally placed to observe Haussmannian architecture, one of the world’s most famous experiments in modern urban design, along with Paris’s many eco-design initiatives.

Professors from globally-renowned universities like Carnegie Mellon and the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne will guide you through the design process, as you gain invaluable experience in the realms of problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership.
