Volunteering is an excellent way to make your time in Paris meaningful beyond academics, and will instill unique skills for professional work after graduation. Pour une Planète Sans Frontières

PUPSF believes that all individuals have a right to an interpreter, to understand and be understood during their legal proceedings. The organization is looking for students to provide basic interpreter support, thereby advocating for the rights of foreigners in France. For beginner interpreters, a half-day training is provided. My Art Goes Bang

My ♥rt Goes Bang is a non-profit organization whose core mission is to accompany children through the traumatic experience of a hospital stay. Volunteers use creative artwork to help bring a little light into the difficult daily lives of these children. Read more about being a volunteer here.

Student-Run Volunteering Associations

At the Student Leadership Office, we spend a lot of time meeting and working with students who are interested in getting "more involved" both on and off campus. Whether volunteering for their local AUP clubs AUP Cares and Roots & Shoots, working towards the revamping of the university's recycling program with student club AUP Green, or hosting a two day symposium on Human Rights Awareness, AUP students definitely want to make a difference. Working with such motivated and determined student groups, the need to create a committee that would encourage and promote community service more actively became evident.
