Green Business Task Force

Learn more about green business practices, as members of both the International Business Administration and International Comparative Politics departments team up to form a real-world consulting task force. Housed in Professor Kerstin Carlson’s “Whither Model Europe” course, Professor Gail Hamilton will lead you in a task force, where you will act as a researcher and consultant to Fitz-G, a company that develops consumer products which address global environmental concerns, including its current series of stylish, environmentally-friendly, Spanish-inspired beach sandals.

You and your classmates will travel with Professor Hamilton to Amsterdam to meet the company founders and their advisors at the Impact Hub, a center for entrepreneurs who strive to create sustainable impact. Over the course of the summer session, you will carry out research and develop recommendations related to consumer adoption of environmentally friendly products, prioritization of launch markets and channels, and brand and marketing strategy development, while writing policy proposals and requests for funding. Fitz-g founders Geraldine and Haim will then accompany you back to AUP for final project presentations, followed by a celebratory reception, and a renewed sense of energy for the challenges ahead.
