This policy outlines the minimum entry requirements and procedure to apply to The American University of Paris as an undergraduate student, including the content of the application and the way in which The Office of Admissions reviews applications and makes decisions.

To comply with federal regulation, The American University of Paris tracks the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) of student loan recipients from the first date of enrollment at AUP. AUP evaluates SAP twice each year, in January and June. Failure to maintain SAP may result in cancellation of financial aid awards, as described below. This policy also describes how students may regain eligibility for financial aid after they have been placed on Student Loan Denied status.

If a student withdraws (officially or unofficially) from AUP and has utilized federal Title IV funds during the semester of the withdrawal, the Office of Financial Aid will determine if any amount of funding will be returned to the federal program(s) based on the federally mandated calculation. This policy details how Title IV funds are treated when a student withdraws.
