The American University of Paris aims to empower students to become responsible actors and leaders in a globalized world. Students must therefore uphold the institution’s standards and integrity as an educational community by following the student Code of Conduct, described in this policy. This policy also details disciplinary and judicial procedures.

SS007EN - Student Rights

The American University of Paris aims to provide a student-centered, transformative learning experience to its students. The University thus grants to students the rights outlined in this policy, including the right to participate in student leadership. AA031EN - Writing Lab Tutor Responsibilities

AUP is committed to providing excellent academic support services to its students. The primary purpose of the AUP Writing Lab is to guide students to become better writers in the university setting. The AUP Writing Lab engages and trains students as Writing Lab Tutors who provide individually tailored sessions to help their peers succeed. This policy outlines the role and responsibilities of undergraduate tutors.

AA030EN - Penalties for Late Payments

Students are expected to meet all financial obligations to AUP. Students who do not make timely tuition and fee payments are subject to penalties, explained in this policy.

AA028EN - Tuition Payment Plans for Graduate Students

To facilitate student payments, AUP makes available a Semester Payment Plan and an Installment Payment Plan for graduate students. This policy explains the details of both options. See also AA030EN – Penalties for Late Payments.

AA025EN - Incomplete Grades

AUP is committed to ensuring student success. To that end, when events outside of a student’s control prevent completion of a course, a student may be granted a temporary “Incomplete” grade and extended deadline to complete coursework.

AA024EN - Course Waiver

In very rare situations, when a student can demonstrate that he/she already possesses the knowledge that would be acquired in a specific, required course, AUP may waive the requirement to take that course.

AA016EN - Graduate Course Load

This policy specifies (1) the minimum and maximum number of credits that full-time graduate students can take in a semester and (2) how to request a course overload.
