AA039EN - Interlibrary Loan

In order to satisfy academic and scholarly information needs, the AUP Library offers interlibrary loan services to its constituents (i.e. upon request, the AUP Library will obtain material not already available in its collection) and to other institutions. This policy ensures that materials are fairly and consistently shared with library users worldwide.

The American University of Paris Library circulation policies regulate the lending of circulating and non-circulating library materials to all AUP constituencies. This policy details the loan periods, renewals, self-renewals, recalls, return of items, lost items, fines and fees, as well as the borrowing terms of circulation items, items on reserve, films, non-circulating items, etc.

AUP alumni residing in the Paris area may borrow materials from the AUP Library, per the rules outlined in this policy.

AA035EN - Final Grade Challenge Procedure

The continuous evaluation of student learning is an integral part of the educational process at The American University of Paris as it is in all American universities. Students must demonstrate their knowledge and comprehension through a wide range of academic exercises and assessments, which may include written assignments, research, in-class essays, examinations or oral presentations. Faculty members perform assessments with professionalism, fairness, consistency, and objectivity.

Students who withdraw from courses are entitled to tuition refunds, depending on the time of withdrawal and the student’s enrollment status, per this policy.

Media attention has the potential to increase or decrease the reputation of The American University of Paris (AUP). It is thus important to positively, constructively and professionally manage the University's engagement with the media. Overall responsibility for the University's media and public relation rests with the Office of University Communications and more specifically the Manager of University Communications.

This policy was developed in order to help The American of University of Paris (AUP) faculty, staff and students avoid an actual or implied endorsement by AUP of non AUP organizations, products, services or activities, including lending their own names or the names of their departments or units, in a manner that could imply University endorsement. This policy refers to The American University of Paris name, the AUP acronym and the visual representations of the University logo or any variation thereof.

This policy ensures that all interactions through social media and on behalf of The American University of Paris (AUP) represent the University’s best interests. It defines the rules and procedures for the use of official University social media accounts to ensure that University-sponsored social media is both legal and in compliance with University policies.
