AA050EN - Survey Administration

The purpose of this policy is to manage and coordinate campus surveys to reduce survey fatigue among AUP students, employees, and alumni, and improve response rates of surveys that are critical for institutional decision-making purposes.

This policy is intended as an addition to, not a substitute or replacement for, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies for the use of human subjects.

AA048EN - Bachelor's/Master's Programs

The American University of Paris offers exceptionally motivated students the opportunity to apply for entry into a Bachelor's/Master’s Program in any of the Master's programs at the American University of Paris. This policy ensures consistency and clarity in terms of the application process and academic standing requirements pertaining to these Programs. Students are eligible to apply from any AUP major and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 and have earned at least 64 credits at the time of application.

AA049EN - GLACC Waiver & Double Count Rules

As of Fall 2020, the new Global Liberal Arts Core Curriculum (GLACC) has fully replaced the previous system of General Education (GE) requirements. Students who matriculated to AUP before Fall 2019 may follow GE or GLACC requirements. The Global Liberal Arts Core Curriculum is required for all students who matriculated to AUP in or after Fall 2019. This policy ensures consistency and clarity in terms of the articulation of each GLACC requirement in relation to other components of the AUP degree, such as the major, minor, FirstBridge, and other GLACC requirements.

AA047EN - Lecture Capture & the Recording of Other Educational Activities

The American University of Paris (AUP; “The University”) seeks to establish a university policy governing principles and responsibilities associated with lecture capture and the recording of other educational activities either made by or on behalf of AUP, including student-initiated recordings.

The Counseling Program is designed to offer a wide variety of support and guidance to students on and off campus. Both on-campus and off-campus consultations are strictly confidential. This policy details circumstances that might require a breach of confidentiality, as well as the procedure for canceling a counseling session.

SS009EN - Involuntary Leave of Absence

The safety of individual students as well as the entire community is a priority at The American University of Paris. When a student engages in, or is at risk of engaging in, behavior that could lead to the serious injury of themselves or others, and when this student is unwilling or unable to accept University-recommended support to address this behavior, they may be placed on an involuntary leave of absence.
