AA029EN - Tuition Payment Plans for Undergraduate Students

To facilitate student payments, AUP makes available a Yearly Payment Plan, Semester Payment Plan, and Installment Payment Plan to undergraduate students. This policy explains the details of each option. See also AA030EN – Penalties for Late Payments.

AA025EN - Incomplete Grades

AUP is committed to ensuring student success. To that end, when events outside of a student’s control prevent completion of a course, a student may be granted a temporary “Incomplete” grade and extended deadline to complete coursework.

AA024EN - Course Waiver

In very rare situations, when a student can demonstrate that he/she already possesses the knowledge that would be acquired in a specific, required course, AUP may waive the requirement to take that course.

AA023EN - Course Substitution

Course substitutions are possible when (1) transfer courses from another institution are equivalent to courses offered at AUP, and (2) in extraordinary cases, a course differing from a stated requirement for a major or minor, is approved in its place.

AA018EN - Placement Levels for Math, English, and French

Due to the international nature of the AUP student body, entering students are generally required to take placement tests in order to determine the most appropriate level for studying English, Mathematics and French. This policy describes the required placement tests and the circumstances under which students are required to take them.

AA017EN - External Language Courses

This policy explains where, and under what conditions, undergraduate students may study a language outside of AUP.

AA015EN - Undergraduate Course Load

This policy specifies (1) the minimum and maximum number of credits that full-time undergraduate students can take in a semester, (2) how to request a course overload, and (3) under which circumstances a student must pay additional tuition.

FS001EN - Event Space Management & Room Booking

This policy describes how AUP manages requests to use classroom space for events, meetings, and student activities. As the demand for classroom space grows, it is important that the process for requesting space be rational and transparent to ensure efficiency and fairness. This policy prevents event overlap, encourages coordination of events across campus, and helps increase the success of such events.
