AUP is committed to ensuring student success. To that end, when events outside of a student’s control prevent completion of a course, a student may be granted a temporary “Incomplete” grade and extended deadline to complete coursework.
In very rare situations, when a student can demonstrate that he/she already possesses the knowledge that would be acquired in a specific, required course, AUP may waive the requirement to take that course.
Course substitutions are possible when (1) transfer courses from another institution are equivalent to courses offered at AUP, and (2) in extraordinary cases, a course differing from a stated requirement for a major or minor, is approved in its place.
In order to eliminate the possibility of cheating, faculty members should follow certain processes when administering exams.
This policy clarifies faculty rights and responsibilities with regard to academic freedom.
Due to the international nature of the AUP student body, entering students are generally required to take placement tests in order to determine the most appropriate level for studying English, Mathematics and French. This policy describes the required placement tests and the circumstances under which students are required to take them.
This policy explains where, and under what conditions, undergraduate students may study a language outside of AUP.
