AD003EN - Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) & Student Loans
To comply with federal regulation, The American University of Paris tracks the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) of student loan recipients from the first date of enrollment at AUP. AUP evaluates SAP twice each year, in January and June. Failure to maintain SAP may result in cancellation of financial aid awards, as described below. This policy also describes how students may regain eligibility for financial aid after they have been placed on Student Loan Denied status.
AD002EN - Return of Title IV Funds
If a student withdraws (officially or unofficially) from AUP and has utilized federal Title IV funds during the semester of the withdrawal, the Office of Financial Aid will determine if any amount of funding will be returned to the federal program(s) based on the federally mandated calculation. This policy details how Title IV funds are treated when a student withdraws.

AA009EN - Language Proficiency Requirements
Since English is the language of instruction at AUP, all candidates for admission must demonstrate English proficiency at a level that will ensure their ability to successfully complete university-level work. Scores from standard tests of English are required for candidates whose native language is not English.
AA008EN - Substitution or Waiver of Degree Requirements
Occasionally a degree requirement can be substituted or waived. Documentation showing equivalency of material is required.
AA007EN - Probation & Dismissal
Students are expected to maintain a GPA that shows they are succeeding in their courses and making good progress towards graduation. At the end of every spring semester, all students’ GPAs are reviewed, and students not meeting cut-off levels are put on probation or dismissed.
AA006EN - Change of Grade
A change of grade can remedy the accidental reporting of an incorrect grade.
